Old Neighbors in Milk Suit in County Court
An Orange county jury quickly awarded James Y. Dwyer of Greenville $450.39 for milk delivered to William W. Schultz during March to May 1923. Schultz admitted nonpayment but claimed Dwyer owed him $590.93 due to a supposed contract. Dwyer denied any contract and said milk must be bought through the Dairymen's League. The trial before Judge Russell Wiggins included testimony from both men and several witnesses before the jury, which included residents of Goshen, Newburgh, Middletown, Cornwall, and other towns.
