Produce Growers Association Sues over Truck Damage

An inquest before a Chester jury found for the Produce Growers Association Inc. against Jacob Lustig of New York for damages to a truck. The July crash between Goshen and Chester was proven by driver George Jones Tony Shuneska who repaired the vehicle and Herman Gratz the company manager. The court directed a verdict of 170.05 for the plaintiff. Attorney Philip A. Rorty represented the plaintiff.

McGarrah Named Chairman of New York Federal Reserve

Knapp Found Guilty of Stealing Watch and Sentenced

Charles J. Knapp, 46, of 45 James Street, was found guilty of stealing a $40 wrist watch from Mrs. Olive Wetmore and was sentenced by Recorder Goward M. Star to three months in county jail. Knapp, an ex convict, claimed he obtained the watch for $8 and faced additional remarks from the court as his past record was noted.
