Storm Lake Bottling Works and the Ginger Ale Era
Storm Lake saw a boom in a local bottling business in the 1880s. Charles H. Fisk bought the operation in 1883 and, with Mrs. Fisk, ran it until 1895 delivering by wagon to Sioux Rapids and shipping by rail elsewhere. The plant used a spring cap and many bottles were hand washed, later converting the building into a laundry service after selling the equipment.
