Start er interrupt unit used to disable cars for late payments
North Texas Motorcars uses a start er interrupt unit on each car to flash warnings and disable starting after the fourth day of late payments. Dealer president Ray Williamson says the system reduces risk, while industry leaders note broader adoption potential and OnStar-like capabilities. Payment Protection Systems reports a 40 percent rise in On Time sales since 1999.
