Love Holy Trinity Blessed Mission draws scrutiny in Iowa communities
Richard and Marilyn Vogt own a 386 acre farm along County Road Z-15 known as Christian Valley, near a Lutheran retreat, amid concerns about property values. In McGregor and Bellevue families report estrangements as relatives join the mission, which has a Chicago HQ and a Belle Vue retreat. Governors, priests, and locals describe the group as a cult causing family rifts while officials place caps on outreach and study. The mission claims Catholic roots and aims to spread its church of seven diocese members and 150 parishes, with English and Polish publications.
