Waukon suit seeks 1.5 million over grain elevator sale
A group from New Albia and Caledonia sue Ger ald Donahue of Woodstock Robert Lager of Caledonia and Waukon State Bank in Allamakee County District Court alleging misrepresentation in a Feb 1976 sale of a New Albin grain elevator. Plaintiffs seek 1.5 million plus costs and interest and claim bank involvement in an unauthorized transfer.

The 1982-83 Linn County Cancer Crusade raised 168525 dollars, a county and county unit high, surpassing goals by over six thousand. Memorial gifts reached 27896, with Rotary pig roast/auction providing 9015 support. The unit served 403 patients and offered 216 loan closet items, plus 712 rides for 85 patients, as the group outlined expanded plans for 1983-84 under Gary Streit.
