An 18 year old, Dean A. Krumviede of 1811 B Ave NE, was arrested for first degree burglary in a southeast side apartment assault on an 85 year old man. Two juveniles also faced burglary charges. The victim had been held at knifepoint during the break in.
Six people were injured when a van turned into a northbound car in the 2800 block of Sixth Street SW. One hospitalized, Glen Martens, 26, Conroy, in fair condition at St. Luke’s. Van driver Thomas L. Wardenburg, Conroy, faces drunk driving and yield charges.
Marion police continued their search for the driver in a hit and run that left Wanda K. Riddle 18 of 2053 10th Ave Marion with minor injuries. Riddle was at a traffic light in the 600 block of Marion Boulevard when a forest green car struck her left rear then sped away likely a Ford Maverick.
