Iowa DHS seeks 18 percent budget hike for 2002
The Iowa Council on Human Services approved an 18.2 percent increase to the DHS budget, aiming for about 140 million more dollars to boost child protection, expand medical coverage, fund child care, and raise family investment program grants.
