Standardized tests loom for Cedar Rapids students this fall
Cedar Rapids Community Schools prepare ITBS and ITED testing over three weeks starting Monday. Other area districts follow with ITES ITED schedules in October November. ITBS tests measure reading writing math and listening while ITED covers writing analysis problem solving and scientific understanding. Results help parents teachers and administrators compare growth and evaluate programs with Cedar Rapids students typically scoring above the national average. Sophomores face ITED implications for graduation and standards. ITED results arrive late month and ITBS results by late October with district wide results released at a school board meeting.
