Big Boy locomotive tours attract crowds across Iowa and beyond
Union Pacific’s Big Boy No. 4014, restored 2013-2019, remains the only functional engine of its class. Ed Dickens, its engineer, says the locomotive showcases the railroad’s 160 years of achievements while touring regions from western to eastern Iowa.
