State board delays funding decision on Delhi recovery work
Gov. Culver's Lake Delhi Recovery and Rebuild Task Force will meet Sept 10 without private technical aid as the Iowa Economic Development board postponed action on hiring outside services. The task force, created after the Lake Delhi dam failure, faces a Dec 1 final report and could cost up to 235000. State Public Policy Group was the sole proposer, with expenses likely around 150000 through December. Board members questioned whether this counts as economic development and whether other agencies should fund it.
