First Year Smoke Ban Draws 3300 Complaints in Iowa
More than 3,300 complaints were logged in the first year after Iowa banned smoking in most public places. A report by the Iowa Department of Public Health says about 1 percent of Iowa's 82,000 businesses received notices of potential violation since July 1, 2008. The act bans smoking in most public venues with few exceptions.
