Lawmakers cut early voting days after 2016 election shift
The Gazette reports absentee ballot requests for next month's election are down about 30 percent statewide from 2016 after lawmakers reduced early voting days. Some county auditors say strong in person turnout could push absentee totals past previous general elections, with about 327,000 requests logged statewide 15 days before Election Day.
