Brisker Leads Condors Past Chaps in OT 156-150

John Brisker scored 50 points as the Pittsburgh Condors defeated the Texas Chaparrals 156-150 in overtime. Stu Johnson added 35 for Pittsburgh while Ron Boone led Texas with 26. Louis Dampier and Dan Issel led Kentucky past Virginia 130-123, and Charlie Scott scored 30 in a Carolina win.

Morning Noon Night Fitness Slated for Ellis YMCA

Ellis branch offers a full day of men's fitness with morning noon and night sessions on Monday Wednesday and Friday. An early bird class from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. and an afternoon session from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. are paired with a 12:05 to 12:35 soup swim sauna class. A women’s slimnastics class runs Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 to 10 a.m. with babysitting and an $8 fee for non members.

Baxter Holds 3 Shot Margin In Club Pros Event

Former touring pro Rex Baxter built a three stroke edge after a four under par 68 in the second round of the National PGA Club Pros championship at Sunol Valley. Baxter, 34, is pro at Beechmont Country Club in Cleveland and posted a 36 hole total of 139. Francisco Lopez of Hayward fell back with a 74 to stand at 142 after two rounds.
