Cedar Rapids Air Service Delayed to February Debut
Cedar Rapids Airport Manager Roy Jameson says Mississippi Valley Airways of LaCrosse Wis will delay Cedar Rapids flights until February 1 due to difficulty obtaining extra aircraft. The tentative schedule includes westbound service to Omaha with a Des Moines stop and eastbound service to Meigs Field Chicago and to Milwaukee via Moline and Dubuque. The carrier plans eight Cedar Rapids flights daily and will handle its own ticketing at the airport. The terminal remodeling plan, about 6000 dollars, would be paid over a three year lease term to provide counter space and cargo area for Mississippi Valley.
