Purest water not from deepest wells says pump dealer
Cedar Rapids pump dealer Louis Whitney recalls drilling a 180 foot well at Brucemore in 1937 that hit a cavern with ample water. He argues the best water lies 250 to 285 feet deep not at 1,500 feet, and notes deep wells can be harder and pricier while city water often remains economical.
