Higgins served fifty nine years in railroading and received his service button four years ago with pallbearers named from Milwaukee conductors and honorary pallbearers G A Larkin and R J Kendall. Attendees included his son Frank Higgins and his relatives from Marion Cedar Rapids and nearby towns.

Marionette 4-H Club Hosts Bread Making Program
The Marionette Four-H club met at Miss Catherine Reinheimer's home with Mary Jane Davis presiding. New members Frances Davin and Dorothy Pflughaupt were welcomed. The program featured steps in bread making, vocal solo by Dorothy Pflughaupt, talks on bread history by Alice Wallace and Lucille Gove, and songs by the club. Members present included Mary Jane Davis, Dorothy Fillmore, Frances Davin, Phyllis Ford, Dorothy Pflughaupt, Evelyn Fillmore, Geraldine Kassler, Shirley Carver and Alice Wallace.
