Highered bids boost for Iowa community colleges and UNI
The Iowa Legislature approved five point five million dollars in new money across the Board of Regents for special purposes. Community colleges gained seven point five million more in general state aid, lifting their total to two hundred forty three point four million. The session created a new House higher education committee and passed measures on accreditation autonomy and tuition guidance while funding key programs at UNI and Iowa State University.
