Recreation Roundup: Free backpacking seminar and Bike-A-Thon
The fourth free backpacking and wilderness camping seminar led by Paul Otteson meets Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Ambroz Recreation Center. New participants welcome. The Bike-A-Thon on Sunday starts at 11 a.m. with eight checkpoints across Daniels Park and city venues. Dean Wheatley chairs. Sponsors fund Operation Bikeways and prize drawings include two ten speed bikes. T-shirts for early donors.

Salvation Army to Offer Boys and Girls T-ball Sessions
The Salvation Army Community Center will run five week T-ball sessions for first through third graders. Boys start June 8 and girls June 9 at 1000 C Ave NW with games 9 am to noon on Mondays and Wednesdays for boys and Tuesdays and Fridays for girls. Registration by June 1 is $10 for members and $12 for non members.
