The Cedar Rapids planning board approved CommonBond Communities plan to rezone 2 acres at 1200 Edgewood Rd NW for Crestwood Ridge, a 45 unit development with 4 market-rate, 36 affordable, and 5 chronically homeless units, despite prior neighbor opposition and traffic concerns. The project earned $8 million in federal tax credits and now goes to a May 23 City Council hearing with potential June 6 votes.
