Mount Vernon Set to Restore Water and Sewer to Most Operations
Mount Vernon City Council approved a multi step plan to restore water and sewer service to Mount Vernon Steel and Wire except the plating operation. The firm must install a discharge tank and mixing device and hire San Labs to test zinc content before any further discharge. Testing could take three weeks with risk of future shutdown if zinc exceeds limits.
