New trial ordered in Iowa parking lot murder case
The Iowa Court of Appeals ordered a new trial for Nicholas Luerkens 34 found guilty in 2015 of stabbing ex girlfriend Lynnsey Donald 29 to death in a Marion Hy Vee parking lot. The court said insanity defense instructions should have been allowed and remanded for a new trial.
