Fire Destroys Roepke Home in Hazleton Area

Woman Falls into Open Laundry Chute

Mother and Son Escape Fire From Trailer Explosion

A Palo mother and her 12 year old son escaped a blaze at a trailer on Chain Lakes road after an oil heater exploded around 4 15 am Sunday. The family lost all possessions and their dog and cat perished. Deputy Burt reported the Craig Scott family was briefly inside the trailer near Palo when the blast occurred. The son was dressed but the mother fled in night clothes. The couple were away at work and the home was destroyed.
