Des Moines AP Gov Robert D Ray ordered state offices and liquor stores closed Monday to observe a day of mourning for Dwight D Eisenhower the 34th president. The governor flew the state flag at half staff for 30 days and urged schools to close while lawmakers from both parties expressed condolences and praise for his leadership and service.
