Public gathers input on Iowa City schools chief search
Iowa City residents may attend two 7 p.m. forums at City High and West High to share desired characteristics for the next superintendent. Participants should submit a leadership profile assessment form from the district website to the forum. The board aims to name a new leader in May as current Superintendent Lane Plugge departs. Marion board meetings will discuss the 2010 11 budget and possible cuts at 7 p.m. in Marion High School Auditorium with no formal action planned. The district seeks a $2 million budget balance through increased revenue or reduced expenditures, with a 15.32 tax rate per $1 000 valuation to be certified by April 15.
