Iowa rebate program aims to spur appliance buys

Apply to reserve funds and receive a rebate for eligible Energy Star and CEE appliances from Iowa retailers. Online purchases don’t qualify. Complete the application with the reserved coupon code within 30 days and mail required materials. One rebate per appliance category per address. one reservation per call or web visit.

Attorney says Wheeler received no help in Iowa film tax case

Angela Campbell, attorney for former Iowa Film Office manager Tom Wheeler, argues Wheeler asked for full-time help in 2007 and 2008 as film tax credits rose. She says his requests were ignored or rejected as the program faced scrutiny and suspension by Gov. Culver amid unrelated luxury-vehicle indictments.
