Government raises 1978 wheat loan rate to 2.35 per bushel

Farmers gain cash via the reserve program, with the release level rising to 3.29, while Bergland says recent cattle futures shifts are not connected to U.S. import decisions. Governors and farmers welcome the move as helping cash flow though prices may not rise immediately.
