Two doctors and about 10 medical staff performed Cedar Rapids first open heart surgery at St. Luke's Hospital on Tuesday. A man in his 60s was operated on at around 8 a.m. and was reported stable after about 4% hours. A second operation is tentatively planned for Thursday with a Tue Thu sequence.
