Land needed to open new Edgewood road bridge

Cedar Rapids faces a delay risk as land for right of way and grading may miss the October 28 completion target for the Edgewood road bridge. The 600 foot span links northwest and northeast Cedar Rapids, but full access requires county and city land purchases and grading on both sides. Failure to finish the surrounding roads would leave the bridge unusable despite 1.28 million dollar construction.
