Cedar Rapids city council approved a 8 p.m. Friday parade for VFW Post 788 in connection with the state encampment. They also allowed a reviewing stand on First avenue June 23 and referred a First avenue E light blackout that night to the power company. Plans for a five-foot sidewalk on E avenue NE were approved in response to Kenwood school access needs. Gas mains permits were issued for 11482 feet between Bever Avenue and Meadowbrook Drive SE and 2448 feet further south.
