Tel Aviv AP Golda Meirs personal secretary denied a Los Angeles widowers marriage proposal to Mrs Meir calling it absolutely ridiculous. The secretary Lou Kaddar added there is no truth in the report though the magazine said Meir and Lou Boyer of 73 may marry after her retirement.
A dinner party Wednesday at 338 Second Avenue SW celebrated George F. Sivers and his wife’s 40th anniversary. Hosts were six children and their families: Frits Weers of Inglewood California. William Sivers of Tahoe City. Ron Sivers of Lakewood. Don Sivers. John Sivers. James Connell of Cedar Rapids. The couple married June 16 1931 at Parnell.
Mrs Dayle R Moyer was honored Thursday afternoon with a baby shower at the home of Mrs R W Murray. Assisting hostesses were Mrs D B Laird and Mrs L C Vileta, and fifteen guests attended.
Mr and Mrs Walter Huk of 815 Fifteenth Street SE were honored Tuesday evening at the Essen House restaurant with a dinner for 25 guests marking their 25th anniversary. They were married June 15 1946 in Obestenfeld Germany and have two sons.
Mrs. Robert Lawson of Inglewood California and her son Richard arrive Saturday to visit Richard Niebuhr and his wife at 214 Eighteenth Street NW Cedar Rapids. Mrs. Lawson will also stay with her brother-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. Wagaman at 357 Twenty-second Street NW and remain in Cedar Rapids for two weeks.
UPI reports Edward Finch Cox and Tricia Nixon were honeymooning at Caneer Bay plantation on St John’s in the Virgin Islands. The White House has not commented. The resort spa charges 90 to 105 dollars daily for a double with meals. Laurence Rockefeller owns it. President Lyndon B Johnson’s daughter Lynda Bird Robb honeymooned there previously.
A Wednesday evening bridal shower honored Miss Chris Fitzpatrick hosted by Miss Karen Haaland at 6825 Devonshire drive NE. Eighteen guests attended with Leonard Skvor and David Swope assisting. Fitzpatrick is set to wed Mark Milner on June 26.

In Rome three Socialist senators introduced a bill to legalize abortion under broad conditions. It would allow abortions to protect the mother's health, in cases of fetal deformity, rape or incest, or when the woman has five children or is over 45, with hospital care and a committee approval required, and bans terminations after 100 days.
