Reduction in School Levy at Iowa City Seen
Iowa City Community school district taxpayers may see a tax cut next year if preliminary budget figures hold. The board approved a 1971-72 budget, with general fund receipts of 10,733,933 and school house funds pushing to 12,051,369, forecasting a 7.6 mill levy reduction from the present 73.499 mills.
