Cobban House renovation grows beyond plans
Arion Howes and Lexi Thumann purchased the 1866 Cobban House to fix up a Civil War era mansion in Marion. Over three years the project ballooned to a near million dollar effort with 45 percent funding from state and federal historic grants, revealing a larger transformation than expected and preserving the Italianate structure with an 1890 Queen Anne tower addition.
