Flag Day Ceremony at Greene Square Park
Edward R Kuba of 1224 Second Street SE organizes a time capsule for a flag raising at Greene Square Park Monday at noon. The ceremony features Emerald Knights Marvin Maire Cedar Rapids schools superintendent, and music by the American Legion auxiliary and Czech schoolchildren. Ed Redfern will present a plaque designating Greene Square as a historic site on behalf of the state bicentennial commission. Groups including Western Fraternal Life Assn Aid Assn for Lutherans Knights of Columbus Modern Woodmen Degree of Honor and the Czech Society of America planned the event.
