Milwaukee pilot Ray Zuelke 34 and his companion Audrick King 25 were killed when Zuelke steered a burning plane away from a group of children on the Rockford Country Club course. All 907 German Jewish refugees aboard the liner St Louis were saved from being sent back to Germany Tuesday by the intergovernmental committee on refugees.
