Cedar Rapids restarts search for diversity inclusion manager
Cedar Rapids will relaunch its hunt for a diversity equity and inclusion manager after an earlier offer failed on terms. City Manager Jeff Pomeranz said the position, created in 2020 to advance racial equity, will be filled quickly with a qualified candidate. The search firm GovHR USA will conduct the new search, and applicants are encouraged. The role reports to the city manager and will study organizational decision making, measure success, and assist HR with recruiting and retention of underrepresented workers. The salary range advertised is 80 371 to 94 453 with benefits, up to 108 493 total.
