Senate wary of house limit on farm price supports

Sen Spessard Holland opposes the cap, saying he wants the current program intact until 1970. officials predict the farm program will likely stay undiluted. Direct payments totaled about 3.5 billion last year, with cotton, grains and wheat receiving most allocations as the Nixon administration favors a hands off approach until new legislation.
