Two Pittsburgh youths face federal auto theft charges
Linn C. Reddick and Richard G. Williams, both from Pittsburgh, were bound over to a federal grand jury in Cedar Rapids Iowa on car theft charges. Reddick escaped police pursuit earlier and was recaptured after a 25 minute chase along Rock Island railroad tracks. Bond set at $2000 each. both jailed in Linn County.

Award Contracts For Star Routes In Eastern Iowa
George D. Johnson of Vinton won the Vinton to Brandon and Vinton to Cedar Rapids routes with a bid of 5765 per year for twice-daily trips and one daily trip respectively. Period runs July 1 this year to June 30 1963. He follows predecessor Dick Hendryx. Paul L. Johnson of Conesville secured the Burlington to Cedar Rapids route at 10140 per year, with July 1 start through June 30 1961. Johnson currently holds the contract.

All Iowa Fair Premium Lists Distributed to Exhibitors
Premium books for this summer fair are being mailed to about 3000 former exhibitors led by manager Andy Hanson. They will be available at Cedar Rapids banks and roughly 60 other banks within a 40 mile radius, or by visiting the fair office in the Chamber of Commerce building or writing for one. Two Cedar Rapids Boys Jailed For School Vandalism
Charles G. Dytrt and Bruce I. Miller, both 18, drew 30 day jail terms in Cedar Rapids municipal court after admitting painting windows doors and sidewalk sections at Washington high school. Judge Donald Parnes ordered one day served with the rest suspended. A red paint covered paper with Dytrt’s car serial appeared on the grounds leading to their arrest.
