Iowans Help Haitian Field Hospital Needs Ongoing Support
Dr Christopher Buresh and other Iowa doctors run a 35 bed field hospital in Leogane Haiti delivering lifesaving care to as many as 300 patients daily. Since the January quake the facility has treated over 16 000 patients with hundreds of surgeries and babies delivered. Costs 20000 monthly threatening temporary operation prompting a Cedar Rapids fundraising push led by Marcia Rogers to raise 100000 to keep it open through year end.
