Iowa DNC delegates back Kamala Harris
Iowa's 49 delegates to the Democratic National Convention unanimously back Kamala Harris after Joe Biden withdraws from the race. State party chair Rita Hart calls the move historic as Harris builds broad support from governors lawmakers and other officials across Iowa. The plan calls for a virtual roll call nomination in Chicago starting August 19 with rules requiring 300 delegates including up to 50 from a single state.
