Tenderfoot Scout to Receive Honor Medal in Cedar Rapids
Daniel Dean Walker 12 will be awarded the Boy Scouts of America honor medal for saving his infant nephew from a house fire west of Cedar Rapids on April 26. The ceremony is set for August 2 at Hawkeye Area Council Camp Waubeek. Walker, with a leg cast, crawled through smoke to rescue Steven Myers Jr then was aided by a newspaper deliveryman.
