Stolen car pulled from Iowa River near North Liberty
A stolen vehicle found Thursday morning partially submerged in the Iowa River near the Curtis Bridge Boat Ramp by North Liberty. It lay about 3 to 4 feet underwater with the top visible. Responding agencies included the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, North Liberty Fire Department, Iowa State Patrol, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, and Johnson County Ambulance Service. No occupants were present and no searches for missing persons are underway. The car had been reported stolen Wednesday with IC Police.
