Iowa, ISU report funding drops in fiscal 2025

Iowa and Iowa State University report declines in external funding for the fiscal year ending June 30 2025. UI total external funding reached 7056 million with 5337 million for research down 22 percent from 2024. ISU external funding totaled 5493 million with 3299 million for research down 5 percent and USDA funds fell sharply to 245 million amid no new competitive grants January through May.
