Trans fat labeling to join saturated fat in 2006 rules

Trans fat to appear on food nutrition labels nationwide
The FDA will require nutrition labels to list trans fat along with saturated fat, with a phase in deadline of 2006. Some firms like Frito-Lay and Unilever Best Foods are moving early, removing or labeling trans fat in products such as Doritos Tostitos Cheetos and I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter.
