Wood window rededicated in Cedar Rapids Veterans Memorial Building
Thousands filled downtown Cedar Rapids for the first post flood fireworks show as Grant Wood’s Lady of Peace and Victory window was rededicated. The Glass Heritage team restored the 24 by 20 foot stained glass window costing 150000 dollars and 8000 pieces were repaired. Mayor Corbett and U.S. Rep. Loebsack praised the project as Cedar Rapids rebuilt after the 2008 floods.
