Administrator Chester C Davis reports that about one third of income from wheat corn hogs cotton and tobacco under the adjustment programs comes from processing taxes and benefit payments. Approximately 3 million contract signers share 277 million dollars as of June 29 with cotton checks moving and more payments expected for corn and hogs. Prices received by cooperating farmers rose from 50 to 77 percent of parity between 1933 and 1934 while prices paid by farmers rose 22 percent, boosting overall farm product exchange value by 26 percent.
