Barrymore Hopkins win Harvard Hasty Pudding awards
Barrymore and Sir Anthony Hopkins are named woman and man of the year by Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals. Barrymore leads the parade Feb 8 in Harvard Square. Hopkins performs Feb 15 in Fangs for the Memories and both will join in roasts.

War Magician project eyed for Cruise at Paramount
Paramount has acquired film rights to David Fisher s The War Magician with Tom Cruise set to star in C W Productions next project. The 1983 book tracks Jasper Maskelyne a famed British magician who used stage tricks as camouflage during World War II and helped form an acclaimed deception unit for the British Army. Paramount also optioned a treatment by Nancy Hersage and Shirley Tallman.
