FBI probes alleged beating of 18-year-old in Pittsburgh
The FBI opened a civil rights inquiry into a Jan. 12 confrontation in a Pittsburgh neighborhood after an 18-year-old violist, Jordan Miles, claims three undercover officers beat him as he walked home. Miles alleges injuries including a bruised face and a torn bald spot. Police contend the officers followed training and that Miles was armed, a claim his mother disputes. The city of Pittsburgh is also investigating.
