Jack Holt of Movies Dies

Hollywood reports film star Jack Holt died at 62 in West Los Angeles after coronary thrombosis following several heart attacks. A 20 year, silent to sound era leading man, Holt starred in many Zane Grey adaptations and was part of the Western film triumvirate with Holt, Tom Mix, and Buck Jones. He played an Indian chief in Across the Wide Missouri and left a son Tim and daughter Jennifer in the industry. He was twice separated from Margaret Woods, with a Mexican divorce later deemed valid in California.
