American Attache Attacked at Riga Airport in Soviet Union

U S state department reports Capt Elmer Alderfer an air force attache was attacked by four to six then about a dozen airport workers at Riga Latvia airport during a visit cleared by Soviet officials. He was searched accused of taking pictures then released after about 30 minutes. Moscow protests and Soviet authorities blamed await investigation.

Lebanon preps army to confront Israeli moves
